Inspiratech 2000 Ltd provides independent materials consultancy and laboratory services.
Typical projects include failure investigations, quality and productivity improvements, alloy selection and development and product and process development. We also acquire specific physical and mechanical property data required for finite element analysis (FEA) of engineering components.
Complete metallurgical investigations, including metallography, mechanical testing, chemical analysis and scanning electron microscopy with analysis are performed as required.
Our specialist knowledge covers a wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, thermoplastic and thermoset polymers, composites and coatings, engineering ceramics, fibres, fillers and adhesives. Production processes include casting, powder metallurgy, polymer processing, heat treatment, hot and cold working and applications in the automotive, aerospace, railway and domestic products markets.
Our extensive in-house facilities (see Services menu) use only high quality research grade laboratory equipment.
We also offer a recruitment service for high calibre materials science specialists.
